Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
the Adudle team (“we”) operates Adudle. We built it to need as little data about you as possible: there are no accounts, and by default there is no analytics or advertising tracking. This policy explains what that means and what limited data is unavoidable.
1.The short version
- No account, no sign-up, no email required to play.
- Your game progress, statistics and settings live in your browser’s localStorage on your device — we cannot read them.
- Our servers keep basic technical logs (including IP address) needed to run and secure the site.
- Analytics and advertising cookies are off until you opt in via the consent banner.
2.Data stored on your device
Your daily grids, streak and statistics, your preferences (such as theme and haptics), your 18+ confirmation, and your cookie choices are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not personal data in our hands. You can erase it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
3.Data we process on our servers
To serve the puzzle and protect the Service, our hosting and infrastructure automatically process limited technical data:
- IP address, user-agent, and request metadata in server and security logs;
- Your guesses and search queries are sent to our API to be checked against the day’s puzzle — we validate them and do not tie them to your identity;
- Aggregated, non-identifying counts (for example, how rare an answer is) used to score puzzles.
Under the GDPR an IP address can be personal data. Our legal basis for this minimal processing is our legitimate interest in delivering, securing and debugging the Service. Logs are kept only as long as needed for those purposes and then deleted or aggregated.
4.Analytics and advertising
We may add privacy-respecting analytics and, in future, advertising. If we do:
- These are switched off until you give consent through the cookie banner, in line with EU/UK ePrivacy rules;
- Advertising partners may set their own cookies or identifiers and may process data (including approximate location and device signals) to show and measure ads. Where required, we will show a compliant consent tool and pass your choices to them;
- You can change or withdraw consent at any time.
You can change or withdraw consent at any time via our Cookie Policy. We will name specific analytics and advertising providers there once they are in use.
5.Third parties and external links
We rely on a hosting/CDN provider and a database provider to run the Service, which act as our processors. The Service may also link to third-party sites, including adult websites and advertisers. Once you follow an external link you are on that site and subject to its own privacy practices; we are not responsible for them.
6.International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where personal data leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7.Children
The Service is strictly for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, contact us and we will act.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because we hold almost no data about identifiable individuals, the fastest way to erase your play data is to clear this site’s storage in your browser. For anything we hold in logs, contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
9.Performers’ data
Adudle references factual career information about real adult performers. If you are a performer and want your information corrected or removed, please use our Content Removal & Rights policy, which sets out a dedicated process and contact.
10.Changes and contact
We will update this policy as the Service evolves and revise the date above. For any privacy question or to exercise a right, contact privacy@adudle.com.
